Nodevice.com is No Deal

Avoid nodevice.com. The site offers downloads of commonly available files, including service manuals (which is what I wanted) for a 1 day, 1 month, or 1 year subscription.

After extensive searching, I couldn't find a service manual for a lexmark 4069-21N Optra T612 printer. I found a corrupt file on eserviceinfo.com that had the first half of the manual, but the part I needed (the parts explosion) was corrupt and unavailable.

I found the manual on nodevice.com, but you have to subscribe to get it. I subscribed for the 24 hour deal, thinking for about $5 I'd solve my problem and maybe pick up a few other files. However, the file I wanted and downloaded was corrupt. IN FACT, IT IS THE SAME CORRUPT FILE AS I DOWNLOADED FOR FREE A FEW MINUTES BEFORE! The terms of service are pretty much "if anything goes wrong, tough luck". I've requested a refund, but have yet to get a response.

As it happened, immediately after submitting a request for a refund, I found the service manual! It isn't available where you would expect it on lexmark.com, but this link got me to all of the lexmark printer service manuals:

Lexmark Service Manuals

It looks like an Asia/Pacific based site, but all the parts manuals are available in english in PDF form.

The manual I was looking for is actually here.
